Driade @Cortina 2021

Driade and FontanaArte in Cortina for the World Ski Championships in the showcase of the Hotel De la Poste

Snow-white Cortina is the venue for the 2021 World Ski Championships; people from all over the
world are looking forward to the competitions that began on 8 February. In the setting of the historic
Hotel De la Poste overlooking Corso Italia, a piece of Made in Italy design history is told through
the exhibition of cult pieces by Driade and FontanaArte.

The Nemo armchair by Fabio Novembre, presented for the occasion in the colours of our
tricolour, welcomes passers-by, tourists, athletes and insiders at the entrance to Hotel De la Poste.

The Nemo is known for its classical-looking face, which is hollowed out to create a living space. It is
in fact a head-chair experienced from the inside which, like a mask, reveals its inhabitant. An
important detail is the strictly eco-sustainable materials used to make the armchairs.

The eye-catcher at the entrance to the hotel is very strong in support of our champions.

Inside the Hotel De la Poste there are numerous FontanaArte lamps that become part of the
typical mountain wood furnishings, adding light and Made in Italy decorum. They range from the
LaSospesa lamps designed by architect Stefano Boeri's studio, which use the facets of glass to
create a contemporary atmosphere, to Paola Navone's Pinecone, which warms the room, Ben
Swildens' Uovo, and Oscar and Gabriele Buratti's Equatore, a reinterpretation of the classic lamps
with glass lampshades. The white, red and green Bilia Mini narrate the contemporary evolution of
an object that has made design history.

"We wanted to be in Cortina and give a strong signal in a historical moment in which Made in Italy
remains our greatest heritage. In this period, during the World Cup, we wanted to tell a bit of the
history of contemporary design and we also wanted to do it through the colours of our flag. Today
more than ever we need to believe in ourselves, in our artistic and industrial DNA, in our culture and
in our savoir faire, which is loved and recognised all over the world. We must necessarily start again
from what we know how to do and how to do it well, which is why we like to place new objects
alongside the well-known icons of our brands, which we hope will become so in the near future,
where the world champions will be awarded." concludes the CEO of ItalianCreationGroup,
Giuseppe Di Nuccio.
