If we were to search for a symbol that best represents the Zen art of Japanese gardens, we’d probably choose a stone (in Japanese, “ishi”). Naoto Fukasawa, starting with a simple pebble, develops a large pouf. A naturalistic form, tamed and then alienated with bright colors.
