DRIADE: EXHIBITION CANOVA AT MART MUSEUM OF ROVERETO

Exhibition “Canova, between innocence and sin" at MART_Museum of modern and contemporary art of Trento and Rovereto

The bookcase Venus by Driade designed by Fabio Novembre, is part of the exhibition "Canova, between innocence and sin", at MART in Rovereto until April 18, 2022.

Based on an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi, the exhibition focuses on the concept of beauty, in its purest and most courageous form, in search of perfection, of ideals, of what transcends the human.
For the second centenary of Canova's death, Vittorio Sgarbi wanted to celebrate the artist with an exhibition that starts from plaster casts, marbles and paintings to propose an itinerary of official and heretical interpreters that, in addition to contemporary sculptors, also contemplates the world of photography and design to indicate the connection between ancient and modern art as well as the contemporaneity of the great masters and their ideas.
