In 1987, with architect Carlos Díaz, he set up the Tusquets, Díaz & Assoc. practice in Barcelona with interests ranging from architecture and planning to interior and commercial design. Its work includes a residential complex in Fukuoka, Japan, public spaces and residential accommodation at the Olympic Village in Barcelona, the new Tusquets, Díaz & Assoc. building in Barcelona , and the Sant Gervasi residential and shopping complex in Barcelona. The practice is currently working on projects in the Canary Islands (Parque del Mar, under construction; Hotel El Rincon, Las Palmas; etc.) and has opened a new office in Las Palmas. In addition to architecture, he continues to work assiduously as a designer, producing numerous objects and furnishings for Spanish and other makers (including Alessi, Zanotta, Cassina and Moroso) that have won many awards and are often included in public design collections. His designs for Driade include the “Victoria” dinner service and a whole collection of furnishings and shelving systems.
